Disable Windows Vista/XP Open Security Warning

Are you tired of being asked if you want to open an exe file in you own computer? I was. I searched Google and found a lot of things about this problem. Some of them were about open file from Intranet but this one is more bothersome. Follow these steps (and screenshots) and you will disable it forever (until you enable it again or installe wwindows).

To disable this thing you need to Click on Start, and Run, then type:

GPEDIT.MSC

GPEDIT.MSC

Navigate to User Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Windows Components –> Attachment Manager.

SNAGHTML4622ec

Double Click in “Inclusion list for low file types” then click Enabled and add the extension of the files that you don’t want to be asked when opening. Example: .exe;.msi

These screen could be different in MS Windows XP but its the same.
